We also have to have HSTP at site as there is no sewage line at site. The plan is submitted on the 5 February 2011 to the builder.
Once we got the DA approval, the building certification can be approved as well, so we sent copy of DA approval to the builder on the 14 February 2011.
At last the builder do the soil test, even the house hasn't demolished. The result shock us, it is MP, means gonna be alot of posts as footing, soil mostly clay. The engineers put 80 posts as part of the footing to the slab.
Probably if the soil test is done in last November and the result is like that, maybe we gonna cancelled demolished the old house and just renovate it. Now everything is going too far already and I don't know how much the additional cost for foundation with the PM soil.
The colour selection is done on 17 February 2011 at Beaument tile showroom.
We use austral brick - metropolis slate with off white mortar, magnum roof tile, black frame windows and doors, off white porcelien tile for all floor and coffe cream wall tile to ceiling at all wet area except laundry.
These variation incurred alot of cost ex: off white mortar $1.6k
For upgrade the brick to metropolis, extra cost of $2.28 k incurred.
Upgrade for the tiles added extra cost $9.8k.
We decide to demolish the old house this month. Getting quotation from several co-s, choose the cheapest one and on 23-24 February 2011, the old house is demolished. One day before, 22 Feb 2011, the power line is removed from the house to a pole. The power to the shed is working well.
The demolition company arrived at site.
The excavator in action
In less than an hour the house is gone.
Now the site is ready for new project and we handed the key to the builder on 25 February 2011.
The site is clear and ready as below:
The above picture showed there are two cables connecting to the board: one input from the gate and one output to distribute power to the shed. All working well.
